Reflex Lymphatic Drainage
An award winning ‘point specific’ technique developed by Sally Kay (BSc). The therapy encourages lymphatic flow and removes waste and toxins from the body, cleansing and boosting the immune system. A remedial therapy for lymphoedema, the treatment is relaxing and may be used to treat any condition that is treated by Manual Lymphatic Drainage. It is especially beneficial for clients for whom MLD is contraindicated. Reflex Lymphatic Drainage has been found to be valuable for many different types of swelling associated with trauma, lymphoedema, lipoedema, fibromyalgia, migraine, ME, sinus problems, chronic fatigue and premenstrual syndrome. Reiki is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’. Seichem Reiki draws on all four of the elements. The therapy is received fully clothed and may be performed either seated or lying down. The therapist works with the body’s chakra system by balancing and channelling universal energies. Hands may be placed on, or, just above the body in a sequence of positions. This treatment is beneficial for relaxation and can help to alleviate ‘mind chatter’, instilling a sense of peace and calm. It is a wonderful treatment for those who are experiencing life challenges or who have experienced bereavement or loss. There are no known contraindications to this therapy. (60 mins) £50
This therapy was developed in the 1960s by two reflexologists, Gaston St Pierre and Robert St John. It has been found to help people come to terms with difficult life circumstances both emotionally and/or physically. It works on the inner life force, helping individuals make transformational changes at their own pace. The treatment combines foot, hand and head massage creating a completely relaxing treatment. Touch is light and may be circular, raindrop tapping, long or short massage strokes that are received along the spinal reflex points of the feet, hands and head. There are no known contraindications to this therapy. (60 mins) £50
