ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic at Cowes
At Cowes Chiropractic Clinic, our chiropractic care is tailored to the individual. Our main chiropractic approach is McTimoney Chiropractic, a gentle, whole-body technique delivered by our qualified McTimoney chiropractors.
Separately, Diversified and long-lever adjustment techniques are also available at the clinic. These are delivered by Josh, our physiotherapist, who is qualified in these techniques. He will assess whether this approach is appropriate for you before treatment.
DIVERSIFIED TECHNIQUES
What are Diversified techniques?
Diversified is a manual adjustment technique that uses specific, controlled movements to help improve joint mobility and function. It is generally a more direct approach than McTimoney Chiropractic and may be suitable for people who prefer or would benefit from this style of treatment.
At Cowes, Diversified and long-lever adjustment techniques are available with Josh, our physiotherapist, who is qualified in these techniques. The most appropriate approach will be discussed with you following an assessment.
MCTIMONEY CHIROPRACTIC
What is McTimoney Chiropractic?
McTimoney Chiropractic is a gentle approach to chiropractic care that looks at the body as a whole. It uses precise, light and quick adjustments to help improve joint movement, reduce stiffness and support more comfortable movement.
Your chiropractor will assess your posture, movement and areas of discomfort before tailoring treatment to you. The gentle nature of the McTimoney technique means it can be adapted to suit people at different ages and stages of life.
McTimoney chiropractors use their hands to assess areas of restricted movement before applying fast, gentle adjustments with minimal force.
