Senior McTimoney Chiropractor

Roger Marino – MChiro
General Chiropractic Council Reg No. 04667

Following a sailing incident whilst racing on the Solent in 2005, Roger underwent a course of chiropractic treatment with Rebecca Taylor at Cowes Chiropractic Clinic.  Following a quick and successful recovery as a result of this treatment, Roger became a passionate advocate of this highly regarded form of health care. He later continued his chiropractic journey to become a practitioner himself, attending the McTimoney Chiropractic College in Abingdon, qualifying in January 2018.

Born in Virginia, USA, Roger grew up in New Jersey.  He started sailing from a very early age, in the family dinghy and has been hooked ever since, winning the USA National Laser Youth Championships in 1988, and many offshore yacht races and regattas Stateside.

Roger furthered his education at University at the College of Charleston where he was a member of the university sailing team and graduated in 1995 with a BSc in Psychology.

After graduating, Roger continued to sail and worked in the marine industry from 1990 until 2016. In 1999, Roger was part of the winning Mumm 30 World Champion team who came to Hamble to compete and proceeded to win the event.  Roger met his wife and made his home here in Hampshire and continued to sail successfully with many well-known race teams at events worldwide, including,  Etchells World Champion 2002 and Half Ton Cup World Champions 2011. He now divides his time between Cowes and Warsash and continues to sail when time allows.

With his knowledge and understanding the demands of sailing and his own experience of McTimoney, Roger aims to share the benefit of this method of health maintenance within the sailing and racing community. He is also happy to treat patients of all ages and backgrounds and has first-hand knowledge of treating younger patients as he has a teenage daughter who is a talented dancer. He is delighted to be part of the Cowes Chiropractic team.
